With two AUs I think the $175 makes more sense ($87.50 per card per annum). In my household I'm leaning towards the separate account for my wife.
I am not sure about "other" AU for the Plat card. But I can tell you first hand that I added my wife (hyphenated last name but same address) and was never charged any additional fees for the extra card. Has access to the lounges and reimbursement for the Global Entry went through as well. Not sure if the fee applies to AU that aren't spouses or same address? Just my experience to date. I added her card about 10 months ago.
