Called today 1/21/2019 to cancel my AA Platinum Select card as the $95 annual fee was up. Told them the annual fee came up and wasn't using the CC enough and that I'd like to cancel. They asked if I wanted to downgrade to a no-fee card, I declined. And then next thing I know, it's cancelled! Boom. End of story. Citi rentention sucks these days.
