Remember that SU is a SkyTeam member. Have you checked their fares? They interline with DL and probably have codeshares with AF/KLM, so you might even be able to get a SU ticket with all segments operated by DL/AF/KLM. Of course, there can be disadvantages of doing it this way, but it might be a means of getting a cheaper fare on SkyTeam.
Thakns for the suggestion. Aeroflot provides some interesting options . . . JetBlue between SEA and JFK connecting to SU metal JFK-Moscow-St Petersburg and same in reverse. I'd need to look at the SkyMiles earning fine print to see if a SkyTeam partner marketed flight on Jet Blue would earn Delta miles; I doubt it but I would imagine I'd earn on the segments on SU metal.
