All,
Thanks for the advice. Its not actually me flying, but another family member.

Have gone for a LHR - FRA with BA, and then FRA - ANC with Condor, as this seemed to be the quickest route.

Will be interesting to see what longhaul on condor is like tho!

Anyway, thanks again for all of the useful info.
