I'd second the SIN routing. That's how I flew to PER on United upgrades - SFO-SIN in Polaris (fauxlaris, technically) and SIN-PER on SQ on miles. Although for the past week UA has been blocking Mileage Plus awards on SQ, that's bound to change by the time of OP's travel.
