I'd love to fly ANA from the east coast of the US to Japan in F. I am saving up my amex mr points. For F award seats it seems better to go through virgin atlantic than direct with ANA due to point cost. Is that accurate? Does ANA release award space to partners at the same rate it does to members of its own program or is it tough to snag F redemptions? With J seats does it make more sense to transfer directly into ANA's program?
