Worrying about what the lines might look like at some future point is a fruitless waste. Priority lines may be marginally shorter, but generally not much so. Only Pre-Check is truly expedited (moves approx 7-8 passengers for each passenger in standard line) and your NZ boarding pass will not cut it.
