At the Aria, yes. It was a "strip view" room instead of the base room, although I'd guess in every other respect the room was the same.
At the Bellagio, no. The check in clerk asked if I would like to upgrade for money and I said no.
The room upgrade aspect was really of no interest to me - what I wanted was for the $ credits to work correctly and they did.
