It has to do with T5 being connected to the Underground and means using the Heathrow Express to get to T4 (or I would expect buses). However, this makes Heathrow Express from Paddington an easier (but more expensive) option for travellers to/from T4.

Wouldn't a shuttle bus to Hatton Cross be as quick (if not quicker) than the HEX, once the long walk from the HEX station to the Underground station at T1/2/3 is taken into account?
