I booked a transatlantic flight from the UK with Virgin Atlantic flying on Delta some months ago. The flights include a transatlantic segment and an internal flight. I was able to reserve seats on all segments at the time of booking except on one of the internal flights. Now months later and a month before taking the flights I still can’t reserve first class seats on the one segment. Anyone know what could be happening with this flight?
Couple of options - as I’ve had issues in reverse (getting VS to accept seat assignments from DL).
- Tweet or call VS and ask for the DL PNR. Then use this PNR to pull up the reservation on Delta.com
- If you stop run into issues on Delta.com, tweet Delta with a DM with the DL PNR and ask them to assign you to a seat, and suggest a specific seat I’d you have a preference (I would recommend doing a dummy booking of just the DL flight to view the seat map since it may be all greyed-out when you view it through the reservation).
- If you don’t want to use Twitter (or Facebook) you can always call DL and do it over the phone.
