Looking for any recent reports on the Marriott Downtown/Convention Center, as it’s been a while since anyone has commented on the condition of this property. Trip Advisor reviews are mixed (go figure!) but there are several reviews commenting on dated, deteriorating and musty rooms, combined with poor housekeeping. Anyone happen to stay here recently?

My most recent visit to NOLA was back in May and I had a great deal on a rate at The Saint. Nice property with good service and great location, in proximity to the Quarter and CBD. This upcoming visit requires finding a property by the Convention Center, so the Marriott DT/CC makes a whole lot more sense.
