I was calling around tonight to check on the Family Plan rates for PH Saigon and wow, they have a pretty cool deal. Only the suites are available for FP pricing but you can have the adult room under any available rate, including a cheap corporate rate and then the suite is 50% of standard rate (which is pretty reasonable at this property). For the nights I am looking at that basically is a free upgrade from a standard king room to a King suite, a $235 savings per night. It's effectively like not having to use points to upgrade to a suite, just bring the kids along. I have them checking to see if the same 50% off can be applied if I use FP for a specialty suite, getting 50% off a park deluxe suite would be even bigger savings (nearly $380 per night). In the end I will probably do a standard twin for my $200 corp rate and a standard king suite for $235 FP rate and call it a great deal. You would think they would do 50% off the cheaper of the rooms, not 50% off a suite ;-)
