If I can ask a similar question with additional ignorance;

For my next rental, I have just signed up to become a Hertz Gold Member.
As this will be my first rental as a Hertz Member, I assume I will need to visit the counter at collection (San Diego Airport location).
Does pre-payment at the time of booking (compared to paying at the counter), have any affect on Ultimate Choice selection?
