Darn- my husband and I are absolute cheapskates by comparison!

We had dinner at Simpson's in London last April in the company of other travel fanatics, including one FTer. Between the classic black cab we took past London's landmarks to his flat and the cost of dinner, that evening ran us something over $US 200. It was fantastic- especially the treacle sponge for dessert.

I may have had a few more expensive meals courtesy of dot-com clients in 2000-2001 but never saw the bills- they picked them up.
