Sucks that the year you start fresh and hit tiers is the best year..
That is because you weren't supposed to. (And you're not the first to report such a thing recently)

Several years ago this was the case, then AC had apparently tried to fix that (by yanking back or withholding eups- forgot exactly which) but as of late it seems that it is back to how it was in the past.
