I am also new to the forum and was wondering if anyone knows the upgrade priority when it comes to mileage upgrades on international flights for D1. Do GUC have priority over mileage upgrades on the waitlist? Also, I heard you get removed from the waitlist after check in so you should wait until you get to the airport to check in, can anyone confirm this?

I have a flight in 2 days LAX>PVG originally booked in Premium Select G fare. I called DL and was able to get on the D1 waitlist for 45k miles. Currently showing 5 open seats so I am crossing my fingers!
