A few colleagues and I just flew this weekend on differing flights out of either JFK or EWR. I departed JFK on Jan 11 in the morning, others at different times during the weekend, Friday & Saturday night from JFK or EWR. It's all anecdotal but none of us noticed anything different about the TSA experience in terms of wait. I'm not aware of how many workers are usually staffed. Thankfully no impact yet for my colleagues or me. Very small sample, I know.

The only thing reported was for CX899 out of EWR Terminal B on Saturday night, 01:30 departure. I've taken this flight loads of times and there's no other flights departing so TSA line is very small. However, looks line Norwegian Air has started operating out of Terminal B with a flight around the same time. A few of my colleagues who departed CX899 said there was a bunch of Norwegian pax so line is longer now but didn't seem related to any possible TSA slowdown.
