It's a pity Marriott will never see your post here on FT. Have you thought about writing to Arne and let him know your plans and including your history with SPG? I doubt it will register with him given any individual travel will not be significant, but if one of his staffies starts adding up the lost business, they just might want to see why everything is not as rosy as he's being told.
