Going west is always easier than east, though 14 hours in any direction is never easy. I'm on SFO-HKG next week myself (always in C for that long a flight), and do it about 3-4 times a year. Going over I watch movies, read, generally stay awake, though I do try to get an hour or two nap in. One problem is you are chasing the sun, so daylight all the way. Closed window shades work only so well. It is still daylight and somehow your body knows it. On arrival, maybe a light dinner and to bed the first night by 11 or so. By the next morning you're fine. I would stay away from the drugs on the outbound side. Don't need them and they will only mess you up once you get there.
