Yes, they're dreadful. Both carriers have mainly 31-32" pitch in Y. It sucks. No other way to describe it.
Economy Plus is is slightly less sucky. (Slightly.)
Wish there was a different answer. Is there a real Premium Economy product available on any of the aircraft that serve that route? Maybe that's an option.
