Opened Amex Plat in December 2017 and put about $7500 total spend on the card. Called in on 1/6/19 to cancel and when asked why, I said that we don't expect to fully utilize the benefits for the upcoming year because we just had a kid and won't be traveling much. Rep offered $200 statement credit or 20K MR after $3K spend within 3 months. I took the MR offer.
