At least I admit my errors unlike the OP who *sighs* somewhat condescendingly rather than admits misleading use of the English language when it's highlighted that "For those of us who can choose our 2019 gifts, can we do so starting the 15th as well or are we pushed out to mid Feb at this point?" clearly indicates that "us" means the OP and "starting on the 15th" means qualification for 50 nights in 2019 must have been achieved by 15 January as everyone who read the post understood.

The earliest realistic date for 2019 January is after 50 qualifying nights have been posted which, given there are 31 nights in January, is towards the end of February assuming no posting of meetings or credit card nights and well after the revised 2018 selection date so it's a moot point.
