So, it seems that if the base ticket is refundable, you can get your seating Avios back as well. To my non-expert reading, since a reward ticket is refundable that would seem to meet this criteria and mean they would get the seat selection Avios back as well. But that is only my reading of their T&Cs, and would hope someone has actually done this to confirm it.
