I've done a lot of searching and reading, but some of the terms of the Miles & Smiles program are confusing. It's probably partly the English translations, and partly that I'm still fairly new to the Miles game. I'm trying to learn what I should do in the future.

I'm US based, and I've attached a recent statement to show my exact dates, but hopefully others can benefit from this info to apply to their own accounts.

I hit Elite Plus with this flight:
31.01.2017 ET0700 Addis Ababa-London T Class 3668
01.02.2017 Card Upgrade 0
Elite Plus Membership Start Date 01.02.2017
Elite Plus membership Expire Date 28.02.2019
My First year ran (needed 40,000 Status miles): 01.02.2017 - 28.02.2018 (Is it normal to be 13 months or was it just the timing of when the last flight to hit 80,000 credited that it ends at the end of the month when it starts?)
My Second year ran (needed 60,000 within 2 years): 01.03.2018 - 28.02.2019
I hit 60,000 Status miles: 17.09.2018
My Status will renew and 60,000 miles will be deducted from my Status balance : 01.03.2019?
1) Will the remainder (696 + anything credited before then) roll over to start my 1st year really only needing 39,304 Status Miles to extend to the 2021-2023 period? Or does it reset to 0?
2) If you do hit that in the 1st year, what happens to the Status Miles you earn in the remainder of that year + 2nd year? Do they build up for the next requalification period (in my case year 5)? Trying to decide if there's any benefit to crediting to TK versus other programs after hitting the requalification target.

I've looked through the voucher thread and wanted to confirm a few things. I used 2 Elite Plus vouchers in year 1. So I should still have 2 that expire 28.2.2019, correct?
3) They can be applied to future flights, so long as they are redeemed prior to the expiration (ie. flights 3.2019 through end of schedule [currently ~ 12.2019]), correct?
4) If I need to make date, but not routing, changes to flights after vouchers have been applied, and redepositing them would make them invalid/expired, is this mechanism still available to move them to the updated reservation?

And then I should get 2 more vouchers in 3.2019. Plus some miles to use before they expire this year it looks like! On top of the recent NYE CX Vietnam and NZ deals to Australia, this is going to be a busy year!

Answer for Q 1: Unfortunately, that number should be zero when your Elite Plus membership would automatically extend. But, I have friends that had bugs and have that extra miles on their "current status miles" section after the M&S maintenance in November.
Answer for Q 2: It just appears on your mileage statement, that's all. In your case, if you are able to earn 40000 miles in the first year ( Mar 2019 - Feb 2020 ) and extend your E+ membership until 2023, the status miles that you earn between ( Mar 2020 - Feb 2021 ) would serve nothing. The number at the "miles in the current tier" section would zero again in Feb 2021 and you could earn 40000 miles between ( Mar 2021 - Feb 2022 ) and extend your membership till Feb 2025.
Answer for Q 3: If you haven't used your two vouchers between ( Mar 2018 - Feb 2019 ), yes they would expire at the end of this February. You could use them for a future date until scheduling permits but the ticketing and the upgrade should be confirmed until 28 Feb 2019. Just a quick note that these vouchers are renewed every year so you would have another 2 vouchers in every March until 2022 ( unless you extend your membership ). Probably, you should have noticed that you are able to use your voucher only on TK flights and you would only use 1 voucher per booking for all flights in the same reservation (max 4 segments).
Answer for Q 4: I don't want to give a wrong answer as I haven't experienced and heard the answer of this issue from someone.

Hope that you have a wonderful travels in your new membership year.
