I am looking to book flights from UK to RSW (Fort Myers Florida) for February 2020. It looks like it would be possible to go outbound LHR-ATL-RSW on a Virgin/Delta combination and to possibly drive to MIA (or MCO) for the return. I will be ready to book flights as soon as they are released and would appreciate some advice on how best to make it happen.

1. We will be in the US for 6 weeks. Does Virgin permit a single to be booked when the outbound flight is released and then add the return when it becomes available? (I don’t want to book 2 singles to avoid the punitive charges for a single ex US)

2. Will booking a through flight from LHR incur more charges than booking the ATL-RSW leg separately?

3. What sort of UC reward availability does Virgin provide to ATL? (We will have at least 7 day flexibility)
