I would recommend trying to eat your meals in Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL). Restaurants in Niagara Falls proper are typically over-priced chains with mediocre food.

If you are interested in shopping with the lower Canadian dollar, check out the newer Outlet Collection Mall on the QEW Highway near the exit to NOTL.
