To clarify, the 4 meal choices are available on PLH routes, which are roughly YYC/YEG/YVR-YYZ/YUL/YOW, YYC/YVR-EWR, YYZ-SFO/LAX

If you fly J on YYC-LAX, YYZ-PDX, YUL-IAH, etc, you won't get 4 choices there either.

BVRG typically means you're entitled to one alcoholic beverage if you're in economy. I most often see this when on a Comfort branded economy fare, where a beverage is one of the fare perks. Not sure why it's on your J passes, when you get alcohol included. It's odd, but not anything that should concern you if you're in J.
If you get upgraded but had entitlement to LT07, BVRG, etc, that will stay on the boarding pass. I actually once used that to get the decent Scotch from the back instead of the crappy JW Black they have up front. But my results with that strategy are mixed - some FAs say it's against the rules since you now get free stuff in J, others say you're still entitled to it.
