I am flying with a colleague on the same flight. He has no status on AA. We both
purchased Economy tickets. I bought it a month before him and at that time C
space was available so I got confirmed in Business right away. Colleague
purchased the same flight couple days back. I have applied a SWU from my
account to his record locator and he is wait-listed. Is there any strategy to
get him to inherit the benefits of my EXP status ? Agent said that just because
I am applying my SWU to him, he will get the EXP (EQD based) priority. Is
that correct ? Should I do something else like linking the PNRs ? Also should my
upgrade request show up in his record ? It is not showing up at all...
The flight is currently at J6 and a good chance that it will have some unsold
seats available. Thanks in advance.
