Shell Fuel Rewards
I experienced the same scenario of accepting 50 cents off per gallon with no idea this was 2,000 CNB points. You can avoid this by disabling Shell's new "redeem rewards & pay for fuel in a single step" feature. You will have to revert back to either swiping your fuel rewards card or entering your alternate telephone ID, but you will avoid the link to CNB rewards redemption.
