Old business bags - great for shoes, laptop power cables, etc; new business 'pouch' - useful for smaller cables. Use the 'liquids' at work.
First (very, very limited experience) - bigger 'pouches' - for a grab bag with MP3 player, phone, passport, eye-shade, etc
