I confess to recently becoming aware that the hotel suffered fire damage in the Sonoma fire of Oct 2017. So while the hotel did disappoint me, it also may be appropriate to cut them some slack, all things considered. It clearly was a rushed job to get the hotel back on its feet, but at least now I am aware that there was a pretty good reason for that.
