You are currently choosing a Choice Benefit that you earned in 2018. You are supposed to select by Jan 14, 2019 or you will automatically be assigned SNAs. (Granted, William has said they will probably extend this date because of the problems they are having.) If you go past the deadline date, you will have NO choice and will end up with SNAs. You can read the T&Cs which are posted in the wiki.
This is the first year for Choice Benefits with Marriott, so no telling what they will do, but in the 5-6 years since SPG launched Choice Benefits, they have never changed mid-year.
