Slightly confused. All A320 ceo series planes delivered new to BA had the dropdown screens, and they were used to show the safety demo and moving map. The 12 aircraft listed also had the capability to use the screens to show entertainment programming, along with multi channel audio entertainment, and their original seats had headphone sockets. UA to UJ were intended for ATH, IST and LCA, but typically found their way almost everywhere but these routes, and even when they were used the entertainment was often not loaded. When the fleet was reseated to Pinnacle, the headphone sockets were omitted.

So are they removing the screens altogether (in which case why single out just these 12), or just removing the redundant IFE equipment that fed them with programming in their heyday?
