You make it almost sound like WS just expanded to CUN but they've been flying there for years so this was a really nothing more than one-off anomaly that while unfortunate is perhaps inevitable given the volume of traffic they have going into this airport.
Referring to Westjet in general not CUN service specifically - and more about in the big-boy world of media, business and consumer expectations they are playing to a higher PR standard now.
