Same people a few years ago knew a hurricane was coming (also CUN IIRC) and did nothing to mitigate the risk (like moving inland) then pealed for Canada to send C-130's because their hotel was flat as a pancake.

I was in the DR many years ago with two hurricanes coming and what I did, was leave via SJU and ORD flying between the two storms between SJU and ORD which was freaky. But I was not going to sit in a small hotel with 200 km/h winds and 20 inches of rain coming. Use your brain and some survival instinct.

That said WS should not send people to a hotel with insufficient rooms and no notice which is just stupid. However once that occurred go find a hotel and get the money later, for Pete's sake.
