It is not always possible to provide hotel vouchers. Passengers should always have a Plan B and Plan C for situations. WS will be on the hook for reimbursement, but I do agree that it is important to travel with enough reserve to handle day-to-day situations.

This could just as easily have been a situation where passengers missed their flight, or someone got sick and could not fly.
