Seriously, you did lay out some good points in your post. But my take on this is that the million's of $$$'s it will take to implement this...and it will cost that much before all is said and done...is better spent enhancing the travel experience for DL's most loyal Medallions.
Whenever new management takes over a company, the knee jerk reaction is to come up with a new "look". It's like they need to mark their new territory much as a dog needs to pee on a bush in a strange neighborhood.
But, IMHO, this is all form over substance. Except for the marketing folks and upper management, who REALLY, TRULY cares about these cosmetic changes?? What new business will they bring in??
If DL wants to show us how much they care, show us the upgrades! Or show us improved meal service in FC. Or renovate the interiors of your aircraft. Etc., Etc.
Bottomline, Delta, please show us some substance over form.
