so what if i book den-nrt for two pax, A (1k) and B (general member)

i sponsor A and B for an upgrade using points+copay.
A and B get upgraded 96 hours out
On the day of the trip A realizes she can't, but they decide B will go on the trip

Is there still an entitlement for miles+copay refund for A? The trip was not taken but if it clears is the certificate/miles be considered redeemed?
