As pvn mentions, the lounge at BCN is shared by numerous airlines, but a D1 ticket gets you in. There are actual three VIP lounges to note in Terminal 1, one is non-Schengen (Joan Miro); one is Schengen (Pau Casals); and one is for the Barcelona-Madrid shuttle (Colomer), which you are probably not flying. Priority Pass also gets you into the lounge, in case you fly coach, but with only one guest.

Sounds like you would be going BCN-JFK or BCN-ATL, so it's Joan Miro for you. All things being equal, I think I would pick JFK because the departure is around noon, so you can sleep in a little more before you fly, and I would pick the Airbus over the 767, which I think is JFK in the fall.
