My parents just went on a ski trip in BC from Quebec. They each checked a luggage and ski+boots. They don't have status whatsover. Told them this would count as 2 luggages (the bag: 1, ski+boot`s:1) so they would need to pay 35$ + 50$ each. When they arrived at the airport at YUL, they were told they overpaid luggage. They wrote a customer service form and got reimbursed 100$
The AC website says:
In Calgary on the way back, they only paid 1 baggage each and the airport agent made them pay for additionnal luggage.
I felt like the Calgary agent was probably right but I still suggested to my dad to write to Customer service again to see what they would say.
Any ideas?
It has always been ski boots and skis count as one altogether. I can't remember when it wasn't like this.
