Near the Pakistan monument is the Lok Virsa Heritage Museum. I enjoyed it quite a bit as it gives a great overview of Pakistan and its cultural history for those who aren't already familiar. I would say it is one of the "must sees" for people visiting Islamabad.

We unfortunately didn't make it to the Pakistan Monument because our guide ran that day very behind schedule. The Heritage Museum looks fairly interesting based on the TripAdvisor photos; too bad.
