We landed just before 2am on New Year's Day on a Sunwing flight at YYZ. (Us and four other Sunwing flights within a half hour of each other, and not many other flights before that.) We waited for just over an hour for baggage. They had announced that due to lack of staff it would take a while (no one wants to work NYE?) and apologized. Sunwing offered a $50 voucher to each passenger as comp.
