Anyway, why is there a need to seek compensation? Compensated for what, exactly, an inconvenience? You landed safely at your destination on time, but had to wait for an extra hour for your bags. Big deal, that's travel. Seeing as your planned arrival time at home was after midnight, one might be forgiven for thinking that your wife's work the following morning wasn't a major concern to begin with.
I'd ask AC why a concierge wasn't available to a SE member at the airline's "global hub", but keep in the back of your mind the reality that a concierge will not fetch your bags for you, nor eliminate the necessity to have your bags screened if placed on an incorrect carousel.
