How do you prove to them that something got lost? I've proven damage with images and repair quotes and I guess theft gets proven by police reports (never tried), but I don't understand how you can show proof you lost something (other than lost baggage which I believe would be covered under another benefit anyway).
I was not asked for proof just my certification that I was filing a legit claim and could be liable for insurance fraud.
If they wanted proof, a police report can be filed in most locations for a loss even if an item was not stolen.
