We're flying into MXP next month and have a reservation with Hertz for a car with winter tires. I also believe the rental includes liability insurance and theft protection.

We're planning to drive to Ponte di Legno for a week of skiing. Do we also need to carry chains in the vehicle? I wasn't sure where or how to find this information.

Also, if I understand correctly, I can't rely on the primary insurance provided by my Chase Sapphire Reserve card and should instead purchase Collision Damage Waiver which seems reasonably priced at $35/week?

Lastly, any tips for good restaurants in the area or other things we should see or do while in the area?
