Seat selection for non QF flights on 'classic rewards' bookings?
Hello,
I have recently made my first international Classic Rewards booking through the Qantas website.
The booking involved 4 flights:
1 with Qantas(international),
1 with Jetstar (domestic),
1 with American Airlines(international) and
1 with Alaska Airlines (domestic).
As this is my first classic rewards booking I am quite naive in regards to the advanced seat selection process.
It is an economy classic rewards booking and I am only a QFF Bronze member.
I have been able to select my seat for the Qantas flight, although I am unable to select my seat for the remaining 3 flights through the QF website.
I can however select my seat for the JQ flight by using the booking reference through Jetstar's website.
The booking reference does not work on the AA or AS websites.
Is this because I have only made the booking within the last few hours and advanced seat selection will become available at some stage in the the near future, or can I only select my seat in advance for these flights with the US carriers over the phone?
