Sorry for bumping an old thread, but as I recently used this service and it is excellent, I wanted to highlight it for anyone else looking to store bags at TPE.

The bonded storage is airside, which means you store bags without ever taking them into Taiwan. Thus if you are on a stopover and carry things prohibited or has a customs fee, you don't have to worry.

Even if you don't carry prohibited items, the bonded storage has many advantages.

Price is very decent. Price is per piece and kg, but a normal bag is 300 NT$. Price list is here.


You can store bags for up to 30 days. Same fee regardless of length of storage! You can even store food items in cool storage, but then 6 days (IIRC) is maximum.

Pick-up is super easy. Bags will go directly from bonded store to your departing flight!



The storage is in baggage claim hall. The entire process is actually very simple, but here is step-by step guide on how to do it.

1. Make sure you have cash NT$ for payment. ATMs are located before immigrations. No ATMs in baggage claim hall (but there is a bank teller just after customs, and they will let you go there and come back if needed.)

2. Pick up all bags, proceed to red channel (desk 7 I believe) and tell them you want to store bags in the bonded storage. You will get a form to fill out (your information plus declaration of content and value of bags)

3. Bring your bags to 'Bonded storage' desk inside baggage claim hall. Hand over form and bags. Pay and get a claim-ticket for each bag plus some paperwork.

4. Proceed to customs desk 7 and hand over paperwork. Keep your claim-ticket in a safe place! All done - proceed landside.



5. On day of departure, go to the normal check-in counter in departures hall. Tell them you have bonded luggage and hand over claim ticket(s). They'll make normal bag tags and send downstairs to storage and you can see bags are checked to correct destination. You'll get normal claim stickers in return. All done! Proceed to lounge and be happy!
