It doesn't seem to have been asked since the November website "upgrade". I used to search for flights with a GPU upgrade request and see if there were any immediate upgrades available. If nothing was green, I would consider buying Z class instead. I like to make this decision separately on outbound and return.

Now, however, there appears to be no way to view upgradable coach fares (W or others) in the same search that you have to do for Z fares. If you try to search for specific fare codes you get an error message. Something like "your class does not match these fares".

So, is this functionality gone or has somebody figred a work-around.
