With Branded Fares, the fare class is no longer relevant. M by itself means nothing unless the Fare Basis or Fare Category Name is specified. And if one purchased an M Basic expecting the perks of M Flex, well, then caveat emptor.

100% agree, but for a UA 1K the perspective (as per the other thread) might be different coming from a world where a T is a T, W is W and M is M.
