I do agree that the 77W is louder. Best seat for noise is, AFAIK, Row 1 top floor of the LH A380. The seat is beginning to show its age, but love the size of the bathrooms and the closer concept in lieu of overhead bins.
Agree completely, the LH A380 is the quietest and smoothest ride and if you are traveling solo - 1K is my choice as the galley is behind row 2 so row 1 is super quiet and right next to your closet and the super size bathroom. For noise, I'd rank the LH 748 just behind the A380 with Row 2k the most quiet and private of the solo seats. Row 1 is right up in the nose but super close the your neighbor seat which makes it a good option for couples. While I also love LX, the B777 is noticeably noisier but I prefer row 2 as the galley is in front of row 1.
